The Greatest Gift Of All

What matters most is...

It is around the holidays. Many associate the holidays with shopping, gift wrapping, and giving. Many associate Christmas with putting up a Christmas tree and lights. What matters most is Jesus Christ. He is the best and greatest gift of all. Jesus Christ is to be celebrated all year round. Giving should be all year around not just on Christmas.

God wants us to give of our time, treasures, talents, and resources. He wants us to be a blessing to others and a light in this world. So many are hurt, broken, and lost. We as Christians have the antidote that can save souls and lives. God wants to use us on the earth to bless others in need.

He wants us to be an encouragement to those who are down, out, and depressed. We can lighten another by our smiles, kind words, and hugs, by being a helping hand, or a friend. Someone else needs your random act of kindness because it can make their day. Those that choose to reject Jesus Christ will face judgment.

But those who accept his free gift of salvation will have eternal life. That is the gift that matters most: is accepting Christ and walking with Him daily.

John 3:16-18 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
