Waiting is trusting and resting

Waiting on the Lord and His timing

We all are waiting for something. We all are waiting for Christ to return. We may be waiting for a job interview. Maybe we are waiting to meet our spouse and get married, or we may be waiting to have a child and give birth. Whatever it is we are waiting for, we can trust that God is going to bring it to pass in His perfect timing. We just need to keep trusting Him and His timing.

Waiting is not just sitting and being still, but it is putting our faith to work in action. When we wait for God to answer our prayers, we are actively working on what it is God has called us to do. We are being led and guided by His Holy Spirit. We are fulfilling our purpose and the assignments that God has given us to do on earth. That is what waiting on the Lord looks like. While we wait, God is leading and guiding us on the next steps to move forward.

Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
